Meetings & Events Team Leader Opening! - art'otel Hoxton

We are recruiting for one of the Coolest Hotels in Hoxton! Long revered as London’s effortlessly cool cultural core, Hoxton’s hip new resident has hit the scene. The 26-floor art'otel Hoxton has a dazzling skyline view, ample gallery space, plus two Banksy originals preserved and on public display. With 357 guest bedrooms and suites, 10 Meetings and Events spaces, auditorium, a lounge, gym and two destination restaurants.

About the Role

In your role as Meetings and Events Team Leader, you’ll discuss and agree some key objectives with your line manager. These objectives are designed to support your department’s goals and priorities. You’ll also take responsibility for your own development, embracing training opportunities that we offer, while learning from any challenges and mistakes along the way.

Responsibilities

  • Streamlining the operations of ten diverse event rooms, hosting a mix of corporate and leisure meetings, banquets, drinks receptions and plenty of different parties.
  • Oversee our inventory and collaborate with the team to make sure our event spaces are well-stocked and versatile, all within budget every time.
  • Implementing cost-effective measures to make our events experiences inspiring, for both corporate and leisure clients, without compromising on quality.
  • Proactively seek feedback from clients to gather the info you need to continuously enhance our events experience.
  • Take care of client enquiries, requests and complaints promptly and in a professional, on-brand way.
  • Lead by example, showing your team how to demonstrate professionalism and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of your role.
  • Inspire and motivate your team, keeping to our high service standards while maintaining a happy, inclusive and creative work culture.
  • Take your cues from the guidance and instructions given by your M&E Operations Manager as well as the leadership team.
  • Be able to train and supervise your events team and inspire them to deliver exceptional service that’s tailored to every client and event.
