We're hiring: Meeting & Events Sales Executive
Location: Stanley House Hotel & Spa, Blackburn
Events by MyLahore is looking for a Meeting & Events Sales Executive to join the team at Stanley House Hotel & Spa in Blackburn, home to The Glass Marquee. This is a role for someone who enjoys the sales side of events as much as the delivery side, from a first enquiry through to a wedding, charity ball or corporate celebration running smoothly on the day.
The Role
Stanley House is a key venue within the By MyLahore events portfolio, and this role sits right at the centre of it. You will manage enquiries, build client relationships and help turn interest into confirmed bookings for weddings, corporate events, celebrations and other special occasions.
Working closely with the wider MyLahore Group, you will support every event from the first phone call through to the final function sheet. It is a role that suits someone organised, confident on the phone and comfortable managing several events at once.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
