A leading engineering and infrastructure business is looking to appoint an experienced MEICA Proposals Engineer to support the development of technically sound and commercially competitive solutions across a range of water industry projects.
This is an opportunity to join a growing team delivering complex mechanical and electrical installations within the UK water sector, working closely with operational, commercial and design teams during the pre-construction phase.
Your new role
As a MEICA Proposals Engineer, you will be responsible for developing tender submissions, estimates and technical proposals for water and wastewater projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing accurate MEICA estimates and tender submissions
- Reviewing specifications, drawings and client requirements
- Identifying project risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions
- Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Producing budget costs, target costs and detailed estimates
- Collaborating with commercial, design and delivery teams
- Supporting bid strategy and pre-construction activities
- Ensuring submissions are completed to a high standard and within deadlines

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, applicants must have:
- Previous experience as a MEICA Proposals Engineer, MEICA Estimator, Electrical Estimator, Mechanical Estimator or Senior Estimator
- Demonstrable water industry experience within clean water, wastewater, water treatment or water infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of MEICA systems and assets
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and scopes of work
- Experience producing estimates and tenders for engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify risks and opportunities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Candidates must possess MEICA and water sector experience.
