Role Summary
The Member Care & Staff Development Specialist serves cross-cultural workers across Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa, combining compassionate care with strategic HR and staff development functions. From onboarding and off-boarding to crisis support, conflict mediation, and community building, this role touches every stage of a staff member's journey — ensuring they feel welcomed, cared for, and equipped to thrive in their cross-cultural calling.
Working closely with the HR Director, office managers, and a global Member Care team, you will drive key organizational initiatives including leadership development, succession planning, policy implementation, and learning activities that help staff and leaders grow in their God-given potential.

Please note: This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct hire opportunity), so the approved candidate would need to develop a team of partners to provide financially for their full salary and benefits. Member Care & Staff Development Specialist: Cyprus, with the possibility for remote work
The Human Resources team is searching for their newest teammate to help empower and equip cross-cultural workers across several regions.
Core Competencies
- Deep personal faith and a genuine heart for cross-cultural missionary workers
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills with the ability to build trust across all organizational levels
- Cross-cultural sensitivity and experience working in diverse cultural settings
- Knowledge of Member Care and staff development principles
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with discretion
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Team-spirited with good administrative capabilities
- Commitment to excellence and continuous learning

Minimum Qualifications
- Significant cross-cultural living or working experience
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365
Desirable Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Member Care, HR, or a related field
- Experience in Ministry Partner Development (MPD)
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the European region
- Ability to raise personal ministry support as a TWR missionary
