Regional Member Commercial Manager – (London & South East)
Field Based | MDA / White Goods | Independent Retail | Account Management
ReQuire are recruiting for an established national organisation operating within the independent electrical and appliance retail sector, looking for an experienced MDA / White Goods commercial professional to take ownership of its largest and most commercially significant region.
Covering London & the South East, you'll be responsible for a network of 110+ independent members representing £100m+ annual revenue, so this is a genuinely important appointment.
We're looking for someone who already understands the Major Domestic Appliance market and can bring immediate credibility when dealing with independent electrical retailers.
This is a relationship-led field role, but it isn't simply about maintaining accounts. You'll be expected to understand each member's business, identify commercial opportunities and turn strong relationships into measurable growth.
The Role
You'll become the primary commercial contact for members across your territory, spending significant time in the field meeting independent business owners and helping them maximise the commercial opportunities available to them.
You'll be responsible for:
- Building trusted relationships with independent electrical and appliance retailers
- Managing and developing a substantial London & South East territory
- Growing sales and increasing product and brand penetration
- Identifying opportunities across existing accounts and potential new members
- Supporting retailers with ranging, promotions and commercial planning
- Using sales and performance data to identify opportunities and drive action
- Introducing and developing product ranges across the member network
- Providing market and competitor intelligence
- Working collaboratively with purchasing, commercial, marketing and supply teams
- Delivering against regional sales and growth targets

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For
MDA / White Goods experience is essential for this appointment.
You'll already have a strong understanding of the major domestic appliance market and ideally have experience working with independent electrical retailers, dealer networks, buying groups, distributors or multi-brand suppliers.
Your background could be with an appliance manufacturer, brand, distributor, buying group or another organisation operating directly within the MDA sector.
You'll ideally have experience across categories such as laundry, refrigeration, dishwashing, cooking or other major domestic appliances, and understand the commercial dynamics of selling through electrical retail.
Just as importantly, you'll need to demonstrate that you've grown accounts rather than simply managed them.
That could include increasing brand or product penetration, securing additional ranges, improving share of wallet, developing new accounts, increasing revenue or consistently exceeding territory targets.

About You
You'll be comfortable sitting opposite an independent business owner and having credible conversations around products, margin, performance and growth.
You'll combine strong relationship-building skills with genuine commercial instinct, able to look at an account and ask: "Where's the opportunity and how do we unlock it?"
You'll be proactive, resilient and comfortable managing your own diary across a sizeable field territory.
You'll need:
- Proven MDA / White Goods industry experience
- Strong field-based account or territory management experience
- Knowledge of the UK electrical/appliance retail market
- Proven evidence of developing and growing accounts
- Strong commercial and relationship-building skills
- Confidence influencing independent business owners and senior decision-makers
- Full UK driving licence
- A base within, or with easy access to, London and the South East
This is a high-profile territory and an opportunity to take ownership of a substantial existing member network with significant commercial value.
For someone who knows the MDA market, understands how to build lasting retailer relationships and has the commercial drive to turn opportunity into growth, it's a role where you can make a very visible impact.
