About The Team & Avon Pension Fund
The Avon Pension Fund administers the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for over 130,000 members across more than 450 employers in the local area. Employers include local unitary councils, universities, academies, town and parish councils, housing associations and charities. Member Services Team
Join our friendly and supportive Member Services Team and help deliver an excellent service to pension scheme members at key moments in their lives.
About The Role
As a member of the team, you'll play a vital role in supporting pension scheme members by:
- Processing a range of pension calculations, including retirements, transfers and benefit estimates.
- Ensuring pension benefits are paid accurately and on time.
- Providing clear, accurate and helpful information to members about their pension benefits.
- Working closely with colleagues across the Pensions Service to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Contributing to the smooth and efficient delivery of a trusted and valued public service.
About You
We're looking for organised, customer-focused individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills who have an ability to interpret and explain complex information to a wide audience. Being able to undertake data analysis with high accuracy and attention to detail is essential, as well as having strong IT skills and being highly numerate.

As part of our collaborative pensions team, you'll have the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge while managing a varied and rewarding workload and help us to think of ways in which change may impact others positively. Proven experience in pensions or financial background is desirable.
