Company Description
Astra Cattolica is a newly formed student association at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, founded in March 2024 to strengthen student representation and accountability in university governance. The association focuses on social issues, improving access to university resources, and maintaining transparent communication between students and the academic community. Astra is committed to protecting students’ academic rights and amplifying their concerns through organized advocacy and collaboration. The team is composed of motivated students who work together to create a positive, inclusive, and proactive environment on campus. Guided by the Latin motto “Per Aspera, ad Astra,” Astra embraces challenges as essential steps toward meaningful and dynamic student representation.
Role Description
The Member role at Astra Cattolica is a full-time remote position focused on active participation in student advocacy and organizational initiatives. Members collaborate with fellow students to identify concerns, gather feedback, and propose solutions that support academic rights and equitable access to resources. Daily tasks include attending virtual meetings, contributing to strategy discussions, drafting communications or reports, and supporting campaigns that promote transparency and inclusion within the university community. Members may assist in organizing online events, coordinating outreach efforts, and maintaining regular contact with students to ensure their voices are heard. This role offers the opportunity to influence student governance while developing practical skills in collaboration, communication, and leadership.

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, including clear writing, active listening, and respectful engagement with diverse student communities.
- Interest in student advocacy, governance, and social issues, with a commitment to fairness, inclusion, and accountability.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle full-time remote responsibilities, meetings, and project deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in virtual teams, use online collaboration tools, and adapt to a remote working environment.
- Self-motivation, reliability, and openness to feedback, with a willingness to learn and take initiative in student-led projects.
- Enrollment as a student at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore or strong familiarity with the university context is highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in student associations, volunteering, or community projects is a plus but not required.
