Excel Learning Trust is seeking passionate, committed and community-minded individuals to join our governance community as Members, Trustees, and Academy Committee Members.
These are exciting opportunities where you will play a meaningful role in ensuring that children and young people experience educational excellence every day.
We have a range of opportunities for governance volunteers at all levels within our governance structure.
Academy Committee Members
Academy Committees are a vital part of the Trust's governance structure. Committee members provide strategic oversight at school level, supporting and challenging school leaders to ensure children flourish, staff are well supported, and the school's unique character is maintained.
Trustees
Trustees are responsible for the strategic leadership and accountability of the Trust. They help ensure that Excel Learning Trust remains financially sustainable, legally compliant and focused on delivering its vision and values, by holding the Executive Team and senior education leaders to account.

Members
Members are the guardians of the Trust's constitution and governance. They provide an important layer of oversight and hold the Trust Board to account for ensuring the organisation remains true to its charitable purpose, vision and values.
