Overview
The Design Museum is the world's leading museum devoted to contemporary design in every form, from architecture and fashion to graphics, product design and digital innovation.
As the museum delivers its ambitious Transformation 2029 strategy, we are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Membership and Fundraising Executive to support and grow our thriving membership community of over 9,000 supporters. This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver exceptional member experiences while generating vital income that enables the museum to fulfil its mission as a global hub for the transformative potential of design.
About The Role
Working closely with the Senior Membership and Fundraising Manager, you will help deliver an outstanding membership programme, providing excellent service to current and prospective members while supporting membership growth, retention and engagement.
You will play a key role in member communications, events, CRM administration and reporting, ensuring members receive a high-quality experience at every stage of their journey.

Key areas of focus include:
- Delivering excellent customer service and acting as a first point of contact for member enquiries.
- Managing membership administration, maintaining accurate CRM records and processing payments.
- Creating engaging member communications, including newsletters, website content and email campaigns.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of exclusive member events and engagement activities.
- Producing reports and insights to support membership growth, retention and continuous improvement.
About You
We are looking for someone who brings:
- Experience delivering excellent customer service and resolving complex queries effectively.
- Experience creating communications or marketing content such as website copy, newsletters or email campaigns.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, working confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong administrative and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Terms and Conditions
- Salary: up to £30,390 per annum
- Holidays: 25 days + Christmas Eve (museum closed)
- Hours: 35 hours per week / Monday to Friday
- Location: the Design Museum Kensington is the place of work - with a hybrid arrangement of 60% of an employee’s role to be performed at the museum and 40% remote.
- Closing date: Sunday 11 October, midnight
- Interviews: Wednesday 21 October + Friday 23 October
