We are looking for a Membership and Registrations Administrator
We are looking for a Membership and Registrations Administrator to help deliver a high-quality, responsive service to our members and applicants.
In this role you will be a key part of our Membership and Registrations team. You will provide day-to-day administrative support across the Institute's membership functions, helping to ensure our members and applicants feel supported at every stage of their journey with IFST.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Group membership schemes: You will support the administration of IFST's group membership schemes, processing applications and ensuring member data is accurately captured in the CRM. You will prepare invoices, chase payments, run quality assurance checks and issue certificates. You will also schedule meetings with new group scheme members, support CPD monitoring and audit processes, and work with colleagues to communicate and promote new and renewing group schemes.
- Membership administration: You will process MIFST, FIFST, Science Council and Sensory Scientist applications and manage all associated administration, including renewals, subscription payments and welcome communications. You will respond to enquiries via the membership phoneline and email, liaise with assessors, and generate and distribute award certificates to successful applicants. Keeping member records accurate and secure in the CRM will be central to the role. You will also provide membership-related administrative support to the Head of Membership and Registrations, where necessary.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in getting the details right and delivering a consistently great experience to our members. Experience in an administrative or customer service role is essential, and familiarity with a CRM or membership database would be a bonus. The successful applicant will be organised, accurate, and able to multitask effectively.

Job Details
The post is part-time (17.5 hours per week, 0.5 FTE). This is a hybrid role, primarily office-based in Hammersmith, London, with the opportunity to work from home by agreement with your line manager and in accordance with business needs. Preferred working days are Monday, Tuesday and Friday, with hours worked flexibly across those days by agreement with your line manager.
Salary commences at £13,500 per annum (£27,000 FTE), plus benefits upon successful completion of the probationary period.
