Membership and Customer Service Administrator, part-time job share (Wednesdays and Thursdays) 9:30-17:30, permanent hybrid, London, Professional Membership Body, £30,600 (£12,240 for 2 days)

High profile Professional Membership body based in London, with an International reach requires a part time Membership and Customer Service Administrator to join their friendly team. This is a permanent role working 2 days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) and is a job share. It is hybrid working. You will work from templates and ensure first class customer service and use the SAP database to update Members’ details and process payments. Candidates will need to describe their reasons for looking for a part time role on a long term basis as this is a permanent role.

The main responsibilities of the Membership and Customer Service Administrator are:

  • Customer service by email & phone, dealing with general enquiries on membership, conferences and payments
  • Membership database administration; dealing with enquiries and sales
  • Assisting with events administration as required
  • Maintain and update membership records of all classes, dealing with bounce backs, researching new emails and physical addresses, and updating the system
  • Perform routine data checks to ensure that we regularly delete duplicate accounts and process membership applications and payments to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in the annual membership renewals process – review data, coordinate renewal process, process marketing emails to members and follow renewal marketing schedule requirements. Respond to queries raised through this process.
  • Respond accurately and promptly to enquiries received by telephone and emails sent to the Membership email box, and provide excellent customer service - maintain a reference file of standard communications
  • Assist with managing membership events—draft invitations, answer enquiries, manage registrations, and adhere to the marketing schedule for invitations
  • Actively promote and sell memberships and services and look to upsell members to other products and services.
  • Process and analyse reports and listings as requested by the Membership Manager and other departments
  • Liaise with the Regional Office Directors and Group Member Client Relationship Manager to ensure they receive materials to promote activities and information required for regional membership campaigns

  • Great organisational skills; proactive approach with excellent customer service skills
  • First class written and verbal communication
  • Flexible approach with great time management
  • Attention to detail, Diplomatic and friendly demeanour
  • 3 A Levels or similar qualification level
  • Customer Service experience
  • Experience of working with databases and an ability to learn quickly

If you have a Business related Degree level qualification that would be of interest. It would also be useful if you have handled high volumes of data and worked in a membership or business to business environment. Advanced Excel skills would be a bonus as would direct marketing experience. If you are able to travel with work occasionally that would be useful.
