Membership Assistant - The Birley Clubs
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and personable Membership Assistant to join the Membership Team at The Birley Clubs, based in our Head Office in Mayfair.
The Birley Clubs operate some of the world’s most iconic private members’ clubs, including Annabel’s, Mark’s Club, George, Harry’s Bar and Bath & Racquets Club. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic Membership Team supporting the administration and day-to-day operations of our prestigious Clubs.
As Membership Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and operational support across the Membership Team, helping to ensure that membership records, enquiries, payments, waiting lists and communications are managed accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with colleagues across the Clubs and Head Office, providing a professional and responsive service to Members and internal stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented and confident working with confidential information, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to their work.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Membership Team across The Birley Clubs, responding to Member and prospective Member enquiries by telephone, email and correspondence.
- Support the administration of Club membership, including new Member elections, renewals, resignations and changes to Member details.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records on Salesforce, including creating new Members and memberships and updating contact and payment details.
- Process membership payments, including taking credit card payments and issuing payment links where required.
- Monitor outstanding payments and support the Membership Team with payment reminders and follow-up correspondence.
- Process membership cancellations and ensure relevant systems and records are updated within the required deadlines.
- Run regular Salesforce and membership reports to support renewal tracking, membership administration and Club mailing lists.
- Scan, file and maintain accurate membership documentation and records, ensuring information is handled confidentially.
- Create invoices and other membership documentation using approved templates.
- Support the ordering of Membership Team stationery and printed collateral, liaising with printers and suppliers when required.
- Provide general administrative support to the Membership Team and assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as required.

We are ideally looking for candidates who:
- Have previous experience in a customer-facing administrative, membership, account management or similar role.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
- Are highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Have strong numeracy skills and confidence handling payments and financial information.
- Have previous experience working with a CRM or database; Salesforce experience would be desirable.
- Are highly proficient in Microsoft Office, with at least an intermediate level of Excel.
- Are professional, articulate and well presented, with a naturally approachable manner.
- Are highly motivated and comfortable working within a small, process-driven team.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Are proactive, reliable and willing to support colleagues across the wider Membership Team.
- Have a positive attitude, good sense of humour and genuine interest in delivering an exceptional service.
The role is office based, Monday to Friday
