Membership Development Officer – 6‑Month FTC Location: Farringdon, London (Hybrid) Salary: £28,119pa Hours: Full‑time, 35 hours per week

Recruiting on behalf of a leading professional membership body

About the Role

I’m supporting a well‑established professional membership organisation to hire a Membership Development Officer to join their busy Customer Support team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment and enjoys helping people navigate their membership, training, and qualification journeys.

You’ll be the first point of contact for a diverse customer base including students, members, employers, and corporate clients—delivering a high‑quality, personalised service across phone, email, and CRM channels.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Acting as the first‑line contact for all inbound enquiries, providing clear, accurate and timely information.
  • Supporting customers with membership, subscriptions, training, events, and education‑related queries.
  • Meeting service targets across calls, emails, and CRM logging.
  • Processing payments for events, conferences, memberships, and subscriptions.
  • Conducting welcome calls and proactive outbound engagement to support onboarding, retention, and exam participation.
  • Upselling and cross‑selling relevant products, training, and membership benefits.
  • Supporting membership operations including applications, renewals, upgrades, exemptions, and record updates.
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Handling sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
