C2S are looking for a well organised and people-focused Membership & Engagement Lead to join the team.
This is a varied role at the heart of our business community, helping us deliver a great experience for our members from the moment they join and throughout their membership with C2S.
You’ll be responsible for supporting the member journey, building relationships, coordinating member activity and events, and ensuring our CRM, website and membership information are accurate and up to date.
You’ll enjoy getting to know people and businesses, making connections and helping members get the most from being part of the C2S community. You’ll also be highly organised and comfortable managing the important detail behind the scenes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the onboarding process for new C2S members, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and understand the opportunities available to them.
- Build positive relationships with members and maintain regular contact throughout their membership.
- Help members engage with relevant events, introductions, opportunities and activities across the C2S community.
- Support membership renewals and ongoing member retention.
- Liaise with event hosts, venues, speakers, partners and members ahead of events.
- Manage attendee information, guest lists and event administration.
- Attend C2S events and help ensure members and guests receive a warm welcome and positive experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date member information within the C2S CRM.
- Add and manage event attendees and engagement activity within the CRM.
- Help monitor member engagement and identify members who may benefit from additional contact or support.
- Add new members and member profiles to the C2S website.
- Maintain and update the member pages, ensuring information is accurate and well presented.
- Liaise with members to obtain profile information, logos and other content needed for their membership.
- Add member news stories, business updates and vacancies to the C2S website.
- Support the growth of the C2S community by identifying potential new members and opportunities.
- Follow up membership enquiries and introductions where appropriate.
- Build relationships with prospective members at C2S events.

Skills & Experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident and comfortable building relationships with people at different levels within businesses.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities at the same time.
- Good IT and digital literacy, with confidence using everyday business systems and technology.
- Competent using Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, particularly Excel/Google Sheets, Word/Docs, Outlook/Gmail and shared calendars.
- Experience of using CRM systems to maintain accurate contact information, record activity and manage customer or member relationships.
- Use CRM data to understand member engagement and spot opportunities.
- Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets and contact lists, with a good understanding of the importance of data accuracy.
- Some experience of website CMS systems such as WordPress, or a willingness to learn.
- Comfortable learning and using new digital platforms and systems as the business develops.
- Experience in customer service, account management, membership, events or relationship management would be advantageous.
- An interest in business, people, events and building communities.
- A proactive approach and willingness to get involved as part of a small, collaborative team.

Salary Depending on experience: £25k - £30K
