Membership Experience Manager

Stoke Gifford - Bristol
up to £45k plus benefits

Are you passionate about creating exceptional member experiences and building thriving fitness communities?

Our client is a well-established leisure and fitness organisation with a strong community presence across the Bristol area. They're looking for a commercially-driven Membership Experience Manager to lead sales performance and shape a first-class member experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building a strong sales culture as much as they enjoy getting the member journey right. You'll be driving membership growth, working with digital tools to improve how people join and stay engaged, and leading a team that's focused on delivering great service day to day.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who combines commercial drive with a genuine passion for people. You’ll take the lead on growing membership, improving retention and making sure every member receives a fantastic experience from their very first enquiry.

At the heart of this role is one simple question: How do we get more people through the doors – and make them want to stay?

You’ll take ownership of the entire membership journey, from generating enquiries and converting new members through to engagement, retention and creating a real sense of community.

You’ll be highly visible, spending time with members and the team, understanding what’s working and constantly looking for opportunities to make the experience even better.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
