Membership Manager
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Central London (Bloomsbury)
Salary: £53,250 with excellent benefits including 25 days holiday, private healthcare, leisure travel insurance, health & wellbeing allowance, interest-free season ticket loan and cycle-to-work scheme
Hours: 35 hours per week; hybrid working (2-3 days in the office per week)
We are looking for a Membership Manager to play a key role in driving member engagement, retention and growth across the FDF. Reporting to the Head of Membership, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of membership activities, ensuring members receive a high-quality experience throughout their journey with FDF.
You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to strengthen member engagement, demonstrate the value of membership and identify opportunities to improve how we support and connect with our members.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and enhance the membership experience at FDF, working with colleagues across the organisation to ensure our members receive exceptional value and support. You'll have the opportunity to influence how we engage with members, drive continuous improvement and contribute directly to membership growth and retention.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with member companies, promoting engagement across FDF activities, events and services.
- Lead member retention activity, including identifying risks, developing retention plans and demonstrating membership value.
- Manage and continuously improve the member journey, including onboarding, engagement and renewals.
- Lead member feedback activities and use engagement data and insights to improve the member experience.
- Oversee membership operations, ensuring accurate data, reporting and efficient administration processes.
- Manage the annual membership renewal process, working closely with finance and other internal teams.
- Produce and analyse membership reporting, identifying trends and opportunities to strengthen engagement and retention.
- Support membership growth through prospect engagement, referrals and cross-organisational collaboration.
- Deliver and support member communications, events, forums and engagement initiatives, working with colleagues across FDF.
- Line manage and develop the Membership Executive, fostering a collaborative, proactive and member-focused culture.

Requirements
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, relationship-focused and passionate about delivering excellent service. You will have:
- Experience in membership, account management, customer success or stakeholder engagement roles.
- Experience managing relationships in a B2B environment.
- Experience supporting, coaching or developing colleagues.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to analyse data and turn insights into practical actions.
- Experience using CRM or membership management systems.
- Effective organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- The confidence to work across teams, influence outcomes and drive improvements.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of what delivers value to members.
