About LYNA
LYNA is building the nutrition layer in women’s health. We bridge the gap between cycle tracking and nutritional science through AI-driven meal scanning and condition-specific nutrition scoring. Our platform supports women across five key hormonal conditions, with a core focus on Perimenopause.
We design adaptive protocols for women navigating complex hormonal shifts—ranging from unpredictable, irregular cycles in perimenopause to non-cycling states.
Role Summary
We are seeking a board-certified physician or certified practitioner specializing in Menopause and Midlife Women's Health (e.g., NCMP credentialed) to join our Medical Advisory Panel on a 3-month volunteer basis.
In this role, you will help shape LYNA’s perimenopause protocol. You will ensure our algorithms account for the distinct metabolic, hormonal, and nutrient needs of midlife women—such as body composition shifts, insulin sensitivity changes, bone mineral density protection, and cardiovascular health.

Key Responsibilities
- Protocol & Logic Validation: Review and refine LYNA’s perimenopause nutrition framework, ensuring AI-generated recommendations support key midlife health priorities (e.g., adequate protein, calcium, Vitamin D, and blood sugar stabilization).
- Non-Cycling & Irregular Cycle Guidance: Advise on algorithmic adaptation for women experiencing erratic, lengthening, or absent cycles.
- Metabolic Health & Symptom Correlation: Provide insight into tracking correlations between daily nutrition and perimenopausal symptoms (e.g., sleep disturbances, mood shifts, brain fog, and energy fluctuations).
- Safety & Educational Oversight: Ensure app guidance aligns with current clinical guidelines and avoids harmful or overly restrictive dietary advice.
- Advisory Syncs: Participate in monthly 45-minute virtual check-ins with our product and founding teams to discuss clinical updates and product logic.
Qualifications & Expertise
- Credentials: MD, DO, NP, or equivalent clinical qualification with specialized experience in menopause care. Certification through The Menopause Society (formerly NAMS) as a Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP) is highly preferred.
- Clinical Focus: Deep expertise in perimenopause, menopausal transition, and midlife women's metabolic health.
- Digital Health Interest: Enthusiastic about leveraging technology, consumer AI, and nutrition tracking to support the 54M+ perimenopausal women in the US and millions globally.
- Evidence-Based Approach: Grounded in peer-reviewed science and up-to-date clinical consensus for midlife endocrinology and nutrition.
