The Role

Next Sourcing is seeking a sharp, commercially minded Menswear Tailoring Designer to join our in-house global design hub. As our Tailoring Specialist, you will be the creative driver behind the suits, blazers, formal trousers, and smart separates that define our menswear collections. You will blend modern tailoring trends, elevated fabrications, and precise technical construction to create suits and formalwear that strike the perfect balance between contemporary style and commercial viability.

We’re so much more than just a British retailer. From Istanbul to Shanghai, our Sourcing teams live and work in some of the most iconic cities in the world. They're at the heart of finding, developing, and delivering the products our customers love and wear every day. Located across the globe, our Next Sourcing teams specialise in all parts of the sourcing operation, from design and garment technology to full product development.

What You’ll Take On

  • Design Elevated Menswear Tailoring: Create compelling, market leading collections across soft tailored blazers, structured suits, formal trousers, coats, and smart-casual separates.
  • Translate Global Tailoring Trends: Continually research international runway collections, contemporary tailoring movements, and global street style, adapting high-level formalwear trends into commercial "must-have" ranges for the NEXT customer.
  • Inspirational & Development Travel: Embark on seasonal trend research trips to global fashion capitals, while also visiting international mills, suppliers, and tailored garment factories to oversee sample development, fit sessions, and fabric sourcing.
  • Master Fabrications & Construction: Design intelligently with a deep knowledge of tailored garment construction, canvas types, shoulder pads, linings, and high-performance fabric blends to deliver a premium fit and finish at a competitive price point.
  • Drive Rapid Design Cycles: Respond quickly to fast turnaround briefs with precision, delivering detailed, accurate CADs and clear range plans without compromising on design aesthetics or quality.
  • Partner with Global Teams: Collaborate daily with Sourcing Specialists, Garment Technologists, Buyers, and Pattern Cutters to ensure designs align seamlessly with production capabilities, target margins, and overall range plans.
  • Ensure Tech-Pack Accuracy: Produce precise, fully detailed technical specification packs and CAD layouts for international factories to guarantee exact execution in production.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
