Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14
Salary: £14,714 per annum
Job Type: Fixed term contract (3 years)
Hours: 20 hours per week, 34 weeks per year (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday)

About Us
Abingdon School has a rich educational heritage and has worked with local schools for many years. We lead the OX14 Learning Partnership, a formal partnership between Abingdon School, John Mason, Fitzharrys, Radley, Larkmead and St Helen and St Katharine. Our partnership programmes, which include primary partnerships, mental health and wellbeing, sport and leadership, are increasingly embedded within the community. We aim to build relationships with partner schools and the wider OX14 community to benefit and challenge all staff and students across the town.
Mental Health And Wellbeing Partnerships Coordinator - The Role
You will play a flexible and evolving role in supporting the wellbeing needs of children, young people, staff and families across Abingdon School's partnership network. Working across primary, secondary and community settings, you will help develop and deliver a range of initiatives including targeted pupil support, PSHCE and RSE resources, staff training, parent engagement, student leadership programmes, partnership events and links with external charities. The role is intentionally broad, allowing you to shape priorities according to your experience and the needs of partner schools while maintaining a clear focus on collaboration, prevention, inclusion and measurable impact.

Mental Health And Wellbeing Partnerships Coordinator - Key Responsibilities
- Engage with primary and secondary schools to support mental health and wellbeing through targeted interventions, curriculum integration, and the Preparing for Puberty programme and RSE delivery
- Plan and deliver wellbeing events including SupportED OX14 LP Event, Primary Partnership sessions and OX14 Pride initiatives, plus support Peer Support Leads with their annual training
- Provide staff training in mental health first aid and wellbeing strategies, host parent webinars and workshops, and act as primary contact for local and national mental health charities
- Develop and implement frameworks to measure programme effectiveness and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues across all partner schools
Mental Health And Wellbeing Partnerships Coordinator - You
- Proven track record in mental health support, education or youth work with strong communication skills adaptable for audiences from primary pupils to school leadership and parents
- Strong project management skills, particularly in event planning and multi-school coordination, with deep commitment to the local community and mental health and wellbeing in education
- Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, and to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people, respecting their views and needs
