Role Description
This part-time remote Mental Health Counselor role involves providing individual and, when appropriate, relationship-focused counseling sessions via secure virtual platforms. The counselor will conduct intake assessments, develop and update treatment plans, and offer evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s needs.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accurate case notes
- Coordinating case management activities
- Collaborating with other professionals or services as needed
The counselor will monitor client progress, adjust therapeutic approaches, and provide crisis support within established protocols. The role also includes participation in supervision or consultation, adherence to ethical and legal guidelines, and contribution to a respectful, inclusive service environment.
Qualifications
- Clinical expertise in Mental Health and Psychology, with the ability to apply evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Skills in Treatment Planning and Case Management, including assessment, goal setting, and ongoing care coordination.
- Experience or training in Relationship Counseling, with the capacity to address interpersonal and family dynamics.
- Relevant academic background (e.g., master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field) and appropriate licensure or registration, as required by jurisdiction.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with a commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive care.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage a part-time caseload, and maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic records, and basic digital literacy for secure online service delivery.
- Prior experience in clinical counseling or mental health services is highly beneficial.
