About The Team

The Croydon Mental Health Liaison Service provides psychiatric assessments for people, aged 18 and above, to determine if they need mental health care and treatment. We care for people who live in the London Borough of Croydon and our aim is to ensure that people get the expertise they need to address their mental health problems. We provide a 24-hour service to Croydon University Hospital offering urgent assessment and intervention to patients. The team includes Nurses, Doctors, an Occupational Therapist, and a Clinical Psychologist.

About the location

The Croydon area has excellent schools both in the state and private sectors. Mental health care for patients who attend CUH is delivered by the Croydon Mental Health Liaison Service provided by South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM). We are an ageless service along with the Older Adult Liaison Psychiatry Service.

About The Role

The successful candidates will be clinically confident in assessing mental health service users presenting in emergencies, carrying out short-term interventions, and making independent decisions. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, often working under pressure. You will possess excellent assessment, communication skills, and interpersonal skills. You will work well with others and enjoy multidisciplinary work while maintaining the highest standard in the quality of care. You will be expected to work in partnership with our clinical assessment unit (CAU), part of the mental health liaison services within the hospital.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
