Priory Hospital Ayr Clinic/ Low Secure Forensic Ward
Salary: £36,176 - £41,953 per annum plus £5,000 welcome bonus
Relocation support: (including payment for accommodation or moving costs) up to £3,000
(Terms apply)
Position: Full Time - 37.5 Hours
Note: This role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or preceptorship nurses.
About the Role
Priory Hospital Ayr Clinic has an opportunity for a Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse to join our team.
Ayr Clinic, Ayr, is a low secure mental health service for males and females with a mental health diagnosis and/or personality disorder. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

- Work effectively as a valued member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, promoting the best interests of clients and their carers while ensuring prescribed nursing care is delivered safely and effectively.
- Maintain a safe and supportive care environment.
- Exercise professional accountability and responsibility.
- Use your nursing skills, knowledge and expertise to respond effectively to changing environments.
- Work within the scope of your professional practice and maintain high standards of care at all times.
- Work on the low secure forensic ward working rotational shifts over a two week period.

Day shift and night shift worked in blocks full time shifts:
- 8am- 8.15pm Days
- 8pm- 8.15am Nights
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday
Requirements
Essential for the Role:
- Qualified Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse with active NMC registration.
- Minimum of 12 months post-registration experience working within a mental health care environment and completion of preceptorship programme.
- Good understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements and professional standards.
- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude with a commitment to change, improvement and delivering high-quality care.
- Ability to work flexibly and use innovative approaches to care.
