Role: Mental Health Practitioner, Development role
Team: Ealing Acton MINT
Working Hours:
22.5 (3 days a week). The team works Monday to Friday 9-5p.m. closed Bank Holidays.
An exciting part-time opportunity has become available in Ealing Acton MINT. This role is perfect for nurses who may want to develop their skills and experience working in a community setting. You will be joining at an exciting time as we transform our services following the Community Mental Health Framework. This framework represents a new approach to situating and providing place-based integrated support, care and treatment in the community for people with mental health problems whatever their level of need.
You will get to work in a multidisciplinary team and also get to work alongside General Practitioners and our community partners.
Community mental health nurses play a key role in dissolving the barriers that can exist between mental health and physical health, social care, voluntary and community social enterprise (VCSE) organisations and local communities, and primary and secondary care, to deliver integrated, personalised, place-based and well-coordinated care for adults and older adults. We are moving towards a ‘whole system’ of mental health care, which will provide timely access to support, care and treatment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
