Band 7 Mental Health Physiotherapy Lead
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Band 7 Mental Health Physiotherapy Lead to provide clinical leadership across our inpatient services for Older Adults, Adults, and Specialist Directorates. This role is ideal for a highly motivated physiotherapist who thrives in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support physiotherapy teams across a diverse range of mental health inpatient wards, ensuring excellent clinical standards, effective service delivery, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Shape service development, support workforce growth, and drive innovation in rehabilitation pathways, promoting the role of physiotherapy within mental health settings and a holistic approach to patient care.
- Set and provide a high standard of specialist physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and advice to patients with mental health needs, carers, and families.
- Undertake the lead role in the assessment, diagnosis, and formulation of physiotherapy treatment plans.
- Provide clinical and operational supervision, and act as a source of specialist advice and education to physiotherapists, technical instructors, and assistants, as well as the wider multi-disciplinary team.
- Lead on, and coordinate, opportunities for service review and development within the team.
