An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join a unique split post working across both the Ealing Community Rehabilitation Service (CRS) and the Ealing Complex Emotional Needs (CEN) Team.
This post is currently being advertised as a pilot role, providing an opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to the development and refinement of the role over time, in response to emerging priorities, service needs and local developments.
The role is open to applicants from a range of professional disciplines within mental health, including Social Work, Nursing and Occupational Therapy. The successful candidate will be expected to have significant experience of working with adults with complex mental health needs in community settings. Experience of working with people with Complex Psychosis and Complex Emotional Needs would be expected.
The postholder will be expected to work flexibly across both services and contribute positively to the development of this innovative pilot role, supporting the teams to identify and develop effective ways of working across the CEN and CRS pathways.

As a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner within the CEN Team, you will hold a caseload of adults experiencing difficulties associated with emotional instability, interpersonal relationships and Complex Emotional Needs within the borough of Ealing. The role has a strong clinical focus. You will undertake comprehensive screening, assessment, formulation, care planning and therapeutic interventions, working collaboratively with patients and their wider support networks. You will work closely with referrers and partner services to ensure that patients referred to CEN receive timely and appropriate assessment, intervention and treatment. You will work closely with the Band 7 Senior Practitioner and Team Manager to support the effective day-to-day running and continued development of the clinical service. This will include contributing to clinical discussions, service development, quality improvement and the implementation of new ways of working in response to local population needs. An important aspect of the role will be developing effective interfaces with a range of internal and external services and stakeholders.
