Mental Health Practitioner | Aberdeen, Scotland | 40 hours per week | £46,000 - £54,000 per annum DoE
Join Our Teams in Aberdeen as a Mental Health Practitioner
At OneMedical Group, we're committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred healthcare that meets the needs of our local communities. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to support our Primary Care teams across our two Aberdeen practices; Great Western Medical Practice and Whinhill Medical Practice.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing timely mental health assessment, risk management and brief interventions for patients presenting with a wide range of mental health needs. You'll work closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals to improve access to mental health support, promote early intervention and ensure patients receive the right care, at the right time.
What You'll Be Doing
- Undertake comprehensive mental health and risk assessments.
- Develop person-centred care and safety plans.
- Deliver brief interventions and ongoing support where appropriate.
- Provide specialist advice to GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Support patients with common and complex mental health presentations.
- Refer and signpost patients to community, voluntary and secondary care mental health services.
- Liaise with local mental health providers to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service improvement initiatives.

About You
You'll be a registered mental health professional with excellent assessment skills and experience working with patients experiencing a broad range of mental health conditions.
What We're Looking For
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration.
- Qualified Independent Nurse Prescriber (V300) with an active prescribing annotation on the NMC Register.
- Experience working in community, primary care, liaison or outpatient mental health services.
- Skilled in mental health assessment, risk assessment, triage and care planning.
- Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Passionate about delivering high-quality mental health care and improving patient outcomes.
