Join Our Team as a Mental Health Recovery Worker

Location: Avonmouth, Bristol
Hours: 2 x Part-time positions available – 7 hours per week, with the potential to work additional hours.

Enhancement Additional Payments:

  • £0.86 - Unsocial Hours
  • 1.5 x hourly rate - Bank Holiday

Full-time equivalent salary: £24,545 per annum (Pro-rated for part-time hours)

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for an experienced and caring Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our dedicated team at Bristol Men’s Crisis House.

All our Accommodation services aim to support people to achieve maximum independence, and to move on to more independent accommodation. Bristol Men’s Crisis House service is an up to 14 night stay for men experiencing a Crisis.

We adopt a person-centred approach and involve people in every aspect of their support. This means offering a safe supportive environment whilst allowing individuals to engage with their community and make positive life choices, with active support to allow individuals to engage with positive risk taking.

What I will do and achieve:

  • Help individuals rebuild confidence and independence
  • Support service users in achieving personal goals
  • Provide one-to-one guidance and work alongside mental health agencies
  • Build respectful, honest relationships while maintaining professional boundaries

  • Experience supporting people with mental illness or in a social care setting (paid or voluntary)
  • Great listening skills, empathy, patience, and kindness
  • Ability to work with digital systems (Microsoft applications, email, internet)
