Lead a Service That Changes Lives
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead our specialist mental health service at St Matthews Court in Barnsley. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire a dedicated team, drive quality, and support people to achieve greater independence and positive recovery outcomes.
Based at St Matthews Court, you'll oversee a purpose-built service consisting of 10 high-quality self-contained apartments, providing 24-hour specialist support for adults with complex mental health needs. Working alongside an experienced team of Recovery Workers and our Quality & Practice Team, you'll ensure every person receives personalised, recovery-focused support.

As Service Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring safe, high-quality and outcome-focused support. You'll continuously review and develop the service, using feedback from the people we support, their families, colleagues and partner agencies to drive meaningful improvements while promoting independence, dignity and choice.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Leading, motivating and developing a team of Recovery Workers and Team Leaders.
- Ensuring safe, person-centred support that promotes independence and recovery.
- Driving continuous improvement, quality assurance and high standards across the service.
- Building positive relationships with the people we support, families, healthcare professionals and local partners.
- Managing service performance and ensuring excellent outcomes for the people who use our service.
What You'll Bring
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, with Level 5 being desirable (or working towards it).
- Strong experience in operational and people management within health or social care.
- A collaborative leadership style with the confidence to inspire and develop others.
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred support and leading by example.
