Response is a mental health and housing charity with over 60 years of experience supporting individuals in Oxfordshire. Currently, the organization provides housing and mental health support to more than 500 people. Response is dedicated to empowering people with mental health challenges and those facing difficult circumstances to thrive within their communities. The charity promotes a compassionate and person-centered approach to improving lives.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Oxford for a Mental Health Support Worker. The role involves providing direct support to individuals with mental health challenges to help them achieve their goals and live as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and maintaining positive relationships with service users
- Assisting with daily living tasks
- Ensuring their safety and wellbeing
- Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals and the wider team to deliver high-quality care
- Following safeguarding protocols
- Adhering to organizational policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Experience in Support Worker roles and engaging effectively with individuals requiring mental health support.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build rapport and work collaboratively with service users and teams.
- Knowledge or experience with Safeguarding practices to ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users.
- Basic Technical Support skills, including maintaining records and utilizing digital tools as required.
- Ability to work empathetically, with patience, understanding, and respect for diverse individuals and their needs.
- Proven organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
