About the Role

We are looking to add a Mental Health Nurse to our team to provide high-quality care, support, and therapeutic strategies to children and young people (aged roughly 5-18) with complex emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs. Working alongside an in-house psychotherapist to provide a holistic therapeutic environment.

What Can You Expect as Part of Your Role?

  • Facilitate and complete mental health assessments and collaboratively develop, implement, and review evidence-based care plans, ensuring they are regularly updated and reflect the child's changing needs.
  • Model best practice in trauma-responsive care, helping the staff to understand and manage young people’s emotions rather than focusing solely on behaviour management.
  • Safely manage, administer, and monitor medication, observing for side effects and reporting on responses to treatment, while adhering to NMC standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the in-house therapist, providing guidance, advice, and reflective spaces to residential staff when managing and responding to challenging behaviour.
  • Establish trusting, therapeutic relationships with young people to encourage engagement.
  • Creating a Safe Environment: Facilitate a nurturing, stable environment where young people feel safe and can build trust, focusing on trauma responsive care in line with the therapeutic model and framework of Aspris.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
