Safer Hand Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a growing and respected Supported Living provider that supports care-experienced young people aged 16-18 as they develop the confidence, life skills and resilience needed to live independently.
This is more than a support worker role. It's an opportunity to become a trusted mentor, positive role model and advocate for young people as they take important steps towards adulthood.

The Role
As a Mentor Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to young people, helping them develop the skills, confidence and independence needed to achieve positive outcomes.
You will build meaningful professional relationships, encourage personal growth and support young people to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting young people to develop independent living skills
- Encouraging engagement with education, training and employment opportunities
- Providing mentoring, guidance and emotional support
- Promoting positive health, wellbeing and resilience
- Safeguarding young people and managing risk effectively
- Positively managing challenging behaviour
- Maintaining accurate support plans, records and reports
- Working closely with local authorities, social workers and partner agencies
- Supporting compliance with Ofsted standards and organisational policies
About You
We're looking for someone who is compassionate, resilient and committed to helping young people succeed.
You will have experience supporting young people in a care, support, education or community setting and be confident building positive and professional relationships.

Essential Requirements
- Experience working with young people within Supported Living, Residential Care, Children's Services, Leaving Care, Youth Work or a similar setting
- Good understanding of safeguarding procedures and risk management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with young people
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Access to your own vehicle
- Availability to work full time, Monday to Friday
- Right to work in the UK
