Job Focus

This is a case-working role and as such involves facilitating, managing and administrating mentoring relationships, rather than direct one-to-one mentoring. You will need strong people and administrative skills to build relationships and rapport, to deliver mentoring training and to manage and advise people well.

This role carries an all-male caseload and includes supporting people with convictions for violent and sexual offences. As such the successful candidate must be comfortable working with individuals with these offences.

Occupational Requirement

A full and active understanding of the Christian faith and Jesus’ teachings as well as the church landscape are key to this role. It is also considered that the need to support mentors (currently) drawn exclusively from churches – for instance with prayer support – and the need to personally
