Senior MEP Commercial Manager – Central London

Up to £125,000 + £7,000 Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Package

An exclusive opportunity with a business that's going places

I'm delighted to be representing a highly regarded Tier 1 main contractor on an exclusive agency basis for the appointment of a Senior MEP Commercial Manager. After meeting with the Commercial Director, MEP Director and HR/Talent Acquisition team, I was particularly impressed by the people behind the business, the culture they've created and, most importantly, the scale of their plans for the next few years.

This isn't simply another Senior Commercial role.

It's an opportunity to join a business at a really exciting point in its growth, with a substantial pipeline of major London developments already progressing through pre-construction and PCSA stages, and a huge amount of work expected to move into delivery over the coming years.

Why this business?

The people genuinely stand out.

You'll be joining a highly experienced MEP and commercial team made up of individuals who know the industry, have worked on major projects and, importantly, actually enjoy working for the business.

There's a collaborative environment, strong leadership and a genuine focus on retaining and developing good people. The business has a reputation for paying the right salaries, rewarding performance and providing genuine progression, rather than simply talking about it. And the workload is only going one way.

With multiple major Central London schemes already in the pipeline, this is a business that is positioned to become one of the major players at the very top of the market over the next few years. For the right person, you'll be joining during that journey - not after it has already happened.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The Projects

The current pipeline includes several major Central London developments, spanning:

  • Large-scale mixed-use and residential developments
  • Major office and retail schemes
  • High-value commercial refurbishments
  • Significant 30+ storey developments
  • Projects with values running into the hundreds of millions

Several are already at PCSA/pre-construction stage, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to influence commercial strategy from the outset and remain involved through delivery and final account.

The Role

As Senior MEP Commercial Manager, you'll take a senior position within the MEP commercial function and play a key role in the commercial success of these projects. You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading MEP commercial strategy across major projects
  • Managing and mentoring commercial teams
  • Procurement and subcontract strategy
  • Commercial reporting and cost control
  • Valuations, variations and change management
  • Risk and opportunity management
  • Subcontractor management and negotiations
  • Supporting pre-construction and PCSA activities
  • Working closely with senior operational and MEP leadership
  • Taking projects through to completion and final account

This is a role for someone who wants real influence, rather than simply managing a set of commercial processes.

The Package

  • Salary up to £125,000
  • £7,000 car allowance
  • Performance-related bonus
  • Excellent wider benefits package
  • Genuine progression opportunities
  • Major long-term London project pipeline
  • Experienced and highly respected MEP leadership team

Who are they looking for?

I'm keen to speak with experienced:

  • Senior MEP Commercial Managers
  • MEP Commercial Managers
  • Senior MEP Quantity Surveyors
  • MEP Commercial professionals ready to step into a senior management position

You'll need a strong background in MEP commercial management, with experience across procurement, subcontract management, cost control, commercial strategy and project delivery. A background with a Tier 1 main contractor or leading MEP contractor would be highly relevant. More than anything, I'm looking for someone commercially strong who wants to be part of a business with serious ambition.

Why Now?

This is the part that makes the opportunity particularly interesting.

The business is already busy - but the next few years are expected to be significantly busier. There is a major pipeline behind the current projects, experienced leadership already in place and a culture that genuinely seems to retain good people.

If you want to join a contractor before it reaches the very top of the tree, rather than trying to get in once it's already there, this is an opportunity I'd strongly recommend exploring.
