Mechanical MEP Coordinator – Contract
Location: Lambeth, London
Rate: Up to £45 per hour, Ltd company
IR35: Outside IR35
Duration: Eight weeks initially
Start date: 10 August 2026
Working pattern: Five days per week onsite
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical MEP Coordinator to support the delivery of a live hotel project in Lambeth.
The existing M&E design for part of the project requires stronger coordination. You will work closely with the site teams, subcontractors and project leadership to resolve outstanding issues, improve coordination and help bring the project back on track.
This is not a redesign role. You will, however, need the technical understanding to interrogate the existing design, identify coordination and buildability issues, challenge where necessary and drive actions through to resolution.

Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate mechanical and associated M&E services onsite.
- Review drawings and technical information to identify gaps, clashes and buildability issues.
- Work directly with site teams, subcontractors and design stakeholders.
- Chair or contribute to coordination meetings and maintain clear actions.
- Ensure information and decisions reach the relevant teams quickly.
- Monitor progress and escalate technical or programme risks.
- Help drive the M&E package forward and restore confidence in delivery.
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong mechanical building-services knowledge.
- Previous experience coordinating M&E services on live construction projects.
- A contractor or design-and-build contractor background.
- Experience working directly with site managers and subcontractors.
- The confidence to challenge designs and drive decisions without taking responsibility for redesign.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- A valid CSCS card.
- Availability to start on 10 August.

Hotel or similar technically complex project experience would be advantageous.
The initial assignment is expected to last eight weeks. There is a strong pipeline of further work that could lead to longer-term opportunities, subject to project requirements and performance.
The rate is up to £45 per hour, paid through a Ltd company and inclusive of travel and other expenses.
The interview process is expected to consist of one Teams meeting focused on your previous projects, technical capability and examples of successfully resolving M&E coordination issues.
