MEP Design Manager
Location: London & Essex (Hybrid working)
Salary: £85,000 - £90,000 + Package
The Role:
- Lead and manage an in-house team of approximately 10 Design Engineers
- Oversee the design delivery of high-value residential and mixed-use developments across London
- Manage and coordinate MEP design through RIBA Stages 1–5
- Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health design across multiple live projects
- Review and coordinate consultant and subcontractor design information
- Ensure designs are coordinated, compliant and buildable
- Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial and Delivery teams
- Attend client, consultant and design coordination meetings
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and support to the design team

The Company:
- Established MEP Design & Build contractor
- Successfully operating since 2016
- Employs between 40 - 50 people
- Design department has doubled in size over the past 12 months
- Strong pipeline of secured projects across the residential, student accommodation and mixed-use sectors
- Delivering multiple London projects ranging from £7.5m to £25m MEP value
- Hybrid working environment with 2–3 days per week in the office, on site or attending meetings
- Genuine opportunity to progress into the Head of Design position
Salary & Benefits:

The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as an MEP Design Manager, Design Lead or Senior MEP Design Engineer
- Strong MEP experience
- Previous experience leading and mentoring design teams
- Design & Build contractor background
- Experience delivering residential, student accommodation or mixed-use developments
- Strong understanding of RIBA Stages 1–5
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
