MEP Design Manager
Location: Central London / Basingstoke (Remote Working Available)
Duration: 3-6 Month Contract (Potential Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
Start Date: Immediate
A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced MEP Design Manager to support the delivery of two major projects valued in excess of £50m, including a flagship Higher Education development and a landmark Commercial build.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing project team at a critical stage, with both schemes progressing from RIBA Stage 4 into Stage 5 (Construction).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage MEP design activities through the construction phase.
- Review technical submissions and monitor design progress against programme requirements.
- Drive consultant and subcontractor design deliverables to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Manage design changes, technical queries and RFIs.
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Attend project sites as required to collaborate with delivery teams (not required daily).

About You
- Proven experience managing MEP consultant design within an MEP contractor environment.
- Strong understanding of design management processes from pre-construction through delivery.
- Experience working on large-scale commercial, education, healthcare, data centre or major infrastructure projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Able to hit the ground running and provide immediate project support.
