Falcon Green are partnered with a leading European Tier 1 Main Contractor specialising in the delivery of complex, large-scale mission critical and life sciences projects across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now seeking an experienced MEP Lead to support the delivery of a major hyperscale data centre project in Northumberland.
As MEP Lead, you will take overall responsibility for the management, coordination, and delivery of all mechanical, electrical, and public health packages throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with the Project Director, design teams, subcontractors, consultants, commissioning managers, and client representatives, you will ensure all MEP systems are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background delivering mission critical or large-scale construction projects and a proven track record managing complex MEP installations through to commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) packages across the project.
- Manage MEP subcontractors and ensure works are completed in line with programme, budget, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with design teams to identify and resolve clashes, technical issues, and design changes.
- Develop and monitor short-term and long-term programme milestones for MEP activities.
- Oversee procurement and ensure timely delivery of MEP equipment, materials, and critical plant.
- Work closely with the commissioning team to develop and execute commissioning, testing, and handover strategies.
- Drive health and safety standards across all MEP activities on site.
- Review technical submittals, RFIs, method statements, and commissioning documentation.
- Chair MEP coordination meetings with subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives.
- Monitor project performance and report progress, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
- Ensure all MEP installations comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Support the successful completion of project close-out activities, including O&M manuals, certification, and final handover documentation.

Requirements
- Degree or trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in an MEP Lead, Senior MEP Manager, or MEP Project Manager position on large-scale construction projects.
- Previous data centre, mission critical, pharmaceutical, industrial, or large-scale commercial project experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems, testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary subcontractor teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Excellent programme management and coordination skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience monitoring project costs and contractual obligations.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to lead teams and drive project delivery under demanding timelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common project management software.
