M&E Manager

Salary: Up to £95,000 including travel

Package: 5% pension and private healthcare

Employment: Permanent

The Role

My client is looking for an experienced M&E Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of the mechanical and electrical services across a major construction project in Guildford, Surrey.

This is very much a boots on the ground, delivery focused role. They need somebody who is visible on site, comfortable managing specialist subcontractors and capable of driving the M&E package through installation, commissioning and final handover.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, site team, consultants and specialist M&E contractors to ensure the building services are delivered safely, correctly and in line with programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take day to day responsibility for the M&E delivery on site
  • Manage mechanical and electrical subcontractors and ensure works are progressing to programme
  • Coordinate M&E activities with the wider construction programme
  • Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions and installation information
  • Identify design or coordination issues and drive them through to resolution
  • Carry out quality inspections and ensure installations meet the required standards
  • Manage QA documentation, inspections, testing and snagging
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and challenge delays or poor workmanship
  • Attend M&E coordination, progress and subcontractor meetings
  • Work closely with the design team and consultants throughout the construction process
  • Coordinate testing and commissioning activities
  • Manage completion of snagging and outstanding works
  • Ensure O&M information and handover documentation is completed correctly
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety across all M&E activities
  • Support the project team through practical completion and final handover

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
