MEP Design Operations Manager

A growing building services design consultancy is looking for an experienced and motivated MEP Design Operations Manager to join its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in the operational and technical delivery of a growing consultancy. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team where professional development is encouraged and there is genuine opportunity to influence the future direction of the business.

The role will be based from the company’s office in the Peterborough area, with opportunities for national and international travel depending on projects and client requirements. The business delivers innovative MEP and building services design solutions across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, logistics, education, retail, leisure, hospitality, residential and refurbishment projects.

The Role

As MEP Design Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of the consultancy, overseeing people, processes, project delivery, quality, and commercial performance. Ideally mechanically biased, you will provide technical and operational leadership across a range of MEP design and consultancy projects while ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard, on time, and in line with client expectations. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with a strong technical background who also understands the commercial and operational side of running an engineering consultancy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
