MEP Design Engineer – Data Centres

Our client is a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy specialising in complex infrastructure and mission-critical environments, with a strong track record in the data centre sector. Their experienced team delivers high-quality engineering and design solutions across technically demanding projects, and continued growth has created an exciting opportunity for an experienced MEP Design Engineer to join the business.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a technically focused engineering team, working on high-profile data centre and mission-critical projects alongside experienced engineers and industry specialists.
We are now seeking an experienced MEP Design Engineer to join the team.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development, coordination and delivery of MEP designs throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

- Develop and review MEP designs for data centre and mission-critical projects.
- Produce and review technical drawings, specifications and design documentation.
- Coordinate MEP systems with architectural, structural and other engineering disciplines.
- Support design development from concept through to detailed design and construction.
- Review technical submissions and ensure designs meet project requirements.
- Provide technical input and develop effective design solutions.
- Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings and technical workshops.
- Support project teams during construction and installation.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations and client requirements.
- Provide technical support through commissioning, testing and project handover.
Requirements
- Proven experience in MEP design within data centres, mission-critical, commercial, industrial or similarly complex environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of relevant mechanical and/or electrical building services systems.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams.
- The ability to interpret and produce engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- A relevant engineering qualification.
- Experience with BIM and relevant design software would be advantageous.
