MEP Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead the mechanical, electrical and process elements of water and wastewater projects across a long-term capital delivery framework. This role carries end-to-end accountability for the safe, timely and commercially successful delivery of MEP works from design development and procurement through installation, testing, commissioning and handover.

Working closely with design, construction, commercial, planning and operational teams, you will integrate MEP delivery with the wider civil engineering programme. You will provide visible leadership across project teams and specialist subcontractors, build trusted client relationships and ensure that completed assets achieve the required safety, performance, compliance and reliability outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

MEP Project Leadership

  • Lead MEP delivery across the full project lifecycle, from scope definition and design coordination through procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
  • Develop and maintain the MEP execution plan, commissioning strategy, programme, resource plan and key deliverables.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, process and civil interfaces to ensure a buildable, integrated solution.
  • Provide clear direction to engineers, supervisors, commissioning teams and specialist subcontractors, acting as the senior escalation point for MEP delivery.

Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (SHEQ)

  • Take ownership of MEP safety, environmental and quality performance, promoting a proactive, values-led culture across the project and supply chain.
  • Ensure installations, energisation, testing and commissioning activities comply with statutory duties, company standards, client requirements and approved safe systems of work.
  • Provide visible leadership on site, including review of risk assessments, method statements, inspection and test plans, permits and electrical safety arrangements.

Commercial, Programme & Risk Management

  • Manage the MEP budget, programme, procurement schedule and forecast in partnership with commercial and planning teams.
  • Lead procurement and management of specialist MEP subcontractors and suppliers, including scope definition, technical evaluation, contract administration and change control under NEC contracts.
  • Identify and manage MEP risks, opportunities, design dependencies, long-lead items, interfaces and commissioning constraints.
  • Monitor progress against key milestones and implement recovery actions where required to protect overall project outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
