MEP Project Manager

We are recruiting a MEP Project Manager for one of our clients, a contractor delivering large-scale data centre projects across the United Kingdom. This is a permanent role, based on site four days a week with one day working remotely.

The role

  • Manage the mechanical, electrical and plumbing packages on data centre projects from design through to handover
  • Take ownership of programme, cost and quality for all mechanical, electrical and plumbing works, and report progress to senior stakeholders
  • Coordinate subcontractors, design teams and client representatives on site
  • Drive health and safety standards and compliance across all site activities
  • Oversee the commissioning, testing and integration of critical systems, including power, cooling and building management systems
  • Identify and manage risks, variations and change control

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Project Manager or Senior Building Services Engineer on large commercial projects
  • Data centre or mission-critical project experience (strongly preferred)
  • Strong technical knowledge of high voltage and low voltage power, uninterruptible power supply systems, generators, cooling and building management systems
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme certificate and Construction Skills Certification Scheme card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing subcontractors
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Full United Kingdom driving licence and the right to work in the United Kingdom
