Core Search are working with one of the UK's leading MEP Contractors who have secured a major package of works across the HS2 framework.
With projects secured for the next 5+ years, our client is delivering critical infrastructure works across multiple HS2 station developments and is looking to appoint an experienced QA Engineer to join their growing team.

Salary / Package
- Salary between £70,000 - £80,000

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage quality assurance processes across mechanical, electrical, and building services installations
- Review and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Carry out site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
- Manage quality documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate inspections with site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives
- Raise, track, and close out non-conformance reports (NCRs)
- Ensure quality issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities
- Review project documentation, drawings, and technical submissions for compliance
- Produce quality reports and communicate findings to project stakeholders
- Assist with client inspections, witness testing, and project handovers
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery teams
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, project procedures, and company quality management systems

Requirements
- Proven experience in a QA Engineer, Quality Engineer, or Quality Assurance role within MEP, rail, infrastructure, or major construction projects
- Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and quality management systems
- Experience managing ITPs, inspections, audits, and quality documentation
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services installations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation management
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and quality processes
- Experience within rail, infrastructure, data centre, or major project environments would be advantageous
