Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Merchandise Assistant to join our Inbound Supply Chain team at Damart UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to play a key role in supporting stock management and helping deliver departmental KPIs. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will contribute to ensuring product availability, optimising stock performance, and supporting the smooth flow of goods through the supply chain.
This is a permanent, full-time position working hybrid - Monday & Friday from home and Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in the Bingley office.

Key areas of responsibility:
- Place and chase all initial and repeat orders as agreed with the Inbound Manager, confirming orders with suppliers.
- Manage the 'to follow' file by chasing and prioritising purchase orders and completing weekly reporting to ensure 'to follows' are released to customers as quickly as possible.
- Ensure all orders are delivered on time and take action where required.
- Identify airfreight where needed, taking a commercial view of requirements to maximise service.
- Develop a good relationship with our Logistics team, working together to ensure business priorities are communicated and carried out.
- Create weekly inbound reports as required.
- Work closely with the Merchandise team and ensure they are advised of any potential stock issues.

What we’re looking for:
Someone who is self-motivated and a team player, highly numerate, with great Excel skills and knowledge. The right person will be able to demonstrate good organisational skills and attention to detail, whilst being a pro-active problem solver and confident in using their initiative to challenge and question things.
