Job Title: Merchandiser
Location: Warwick – Hybrid (Min. 2 days per week in the office)
Reports to: Senior Merchandiser
Contract Type: 37.5 hours per week

Purpose of the role:
To influence the planning of our product ranges using deep levels of analysis to ensure that stock and choice is optimised in line with business and customer requirements, and that our customers have great choice in whatever channel they choose to shop in from sub category down to individual size level
To work alongside the Senior Merchandising in forecasting and trading your own category. In addition, you will be solely responsible for managing the WSSI in line with stock and spend KPIs
You will build strong relationships across departments and continuously seeking to understand our sales performance and our customers better.
Key accountabilities:
- Accountable alongside the Buying team to collaboratively plan and build ranges, ensuring that our ranges are strategic, balanced and in line with business stock initiatives/buy budgets/top line strategy at both total and individual size level.
- You are responsible in providing detailed and insightful analysis on stock and sales, sharing this widely and communicating learnings clearly and effectively
- You will be responsible for training and coaching junior members of the team
Person specification:
- Academic qualification in a mathematical, scientific or analytical subject.
- Experience of working in a retail or multi-channel environment
- Minimum of 4 year’s experience within Merchandising in a retail head office environment
- Outstanding level of numeracy and speed of understanding.
- Enjoys working with people and able to build relationships across the business.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills with all levels of the company and the ability to engage others.
- Logical thinker with a questioning approach
- Experience using merchandising systems and Microsoft Excel
- Experience in managing junior team members
