About The Role

We're looking for a commercially minded Merchandiser to join our Trading team and play a key role in optimising product performance across our store estate.

As a Merchandiser, you'll be responsible for creating and managing planograms that maximise sales, profitability and customer choice. Working closely with Trading, Supply Chain, Retail and other business functions, you'll use data and insight to ensure products are ranged effectively and space is allocated in the most commercially beneficial way.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys combining analysis with practical retail execution in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Creating and maintaining accurate, customer-focused planograms across assigned product categories.
  • Analysing sales, profit, waste and stock performance to optimise space allocation.
  • Ensuring product ranging and distribution reflect customer demand across different store formats and regions.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve sales performance and maximise return on retail space.
  • Supporting category reviews, range change and product exit plans.
  • Working collaboratively with Trading, Supply Chain, Retail, Marketing and other key stakeholders.
  • Providing recommendations based on category and space performance data.
  • Supporting new store openings, refits and format development projects.
  • Ensuring all stores are accurately ranged and updated in line with business requirements.
  • Conducting regular store and competitor visits to gain market insight and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Helping minimise unnecessary workload for store teams through effective planning and execution.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
