Reports to: Head of Merchandising
Location: Glasgow, office based
Salary: Dependent on experience
Hours: 42.5 hours per week (8.30am to 5.30pm)

Role Overview
As Merchandiser you will be responsible for the Planning/Forecasting of one of our key departments.
You would be responsible for:
- Department Category Planning by Season
- Range/Assortment Planning
- Stock Management
- In Season Forecasting and Markdown Maintenance
- Supervising the Allocator
- Reporting – Weekly, Seasonal KPIs
- Store Grading
- Responsible for making sure we have the right stock at the right time.

You will be heavily involved in product and range building and will need 2/3 years’ experience as a merchandiser within a retail business.

- Do you have experience in Centric Merchandising?
- Do you enjoy being able to use your initiative to run projects and identify opportunities through new tasks?
- Are you excellent in working with Microsoft Systems, more specifically Excel?
- Are you a strong communicator with the ability to influence both verbally and written?
- Do you pride yourself in having a good attention to detail?
- Do you enjoy working in a busy team?
- Do you have strong Customer Service/Administration experience and thrive off of client-facing environments / situations?
- Are you an innovative thinker who enjoys identifying opportunities and interventions for continuous improvement?
What does a typical day sound like?
- You will be responsible for supervising Allocation and Replenishments of stock to the stores. Making sure the Allocator is maintaining appropriate target levels from Range Plans and pushing stock to stores where necessary to manage seasonal demand.
- You will work closely with the Allocator to make sure stock is in the right place at the right time.
- You will closely with the Design & Buying Team to make sure production is placed in a timely manner.
- Key responsibilities will be Planning/Forecasting/Reporting at Line Level, Category & Department Level.
- You will be work on new product launches, offers and promotions.
- You will be our expert in Department Category and Line Level Sales/Margin/Stock Levels for your particular department.
