Merchandiser

Elite are excited to partner with a well-established fashion and accessories retailer on an exciting opportunity for a Merchandiser to join their growing Merchandising team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and commercially-minded Merchandiser with a passion for numbers, analysis, and product, who enjoys working closely with Buying and Design and has experience leading and developing a team.

What will you do?

• Drive sales and profit by planning and managing product ranges across your department.
• Analyse trading performance, forecast demand, and make key trading decisions around stock levels, intake, and pricing, ensuring product is in the right place at the right time.
• Develop a strong understanding of customer needs across different channels and use this to make considered commercial decisions.
• Develop and recommend departmental strategy, working closely with Buying and Design.
• React quickly to trade while managing the critical path and optimizing stock availability across stores and digital channels.
• Analyse past, current, and future seasonal ranges to establish planning parameters and support key business decisions.
• Manage the critical path alongside the Buyer, ensuring deadlines are met and potential issues are identified and communicated effectively.
• Work closely with Buying and Design to deliver a balanced, trend-led, and commercially successful product range.
• Actively trade the department, reviewing performance and taking appropriate action to maximize sales and profitability.
• Communicate clearly and confidently in trading meetings, building strong relationships across the wider business.
• Manage key commercial KPIs to maximize margin and profitability.
• Regularly review performance against plan, highlighting opportunities and risks and making recommendations where required.
• Lead, coach, and develop junior members of the Merchandising team, supporting their progression and development.
