About Harbour Lifestyle
Harbour Lifestyle is a fast-growing outdoor living and garden furniture brand, designing and selling premium products direct to consumers online. As our range continues to expand, the accuracy and integrity of our product data underpins the entire customer experience - from the moment a product leaves the factory to the moment it is presented on our website.
Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and commercially aware Merchandiser to take ownership of the product data lifecycle, from factory and supplier information through to the live website. This role ensures that every product is set up accurately, completely and consistently across our systems.
Operating at the intersection of our suppliers, NetSuite and Shopify, you will transform raw product and factory information into rich, accurate and customer-ready listings. Our data follows a defined sequence: factory and purchasing information is first captured and recorded in NetSuite, which serves as our single source of truth, before flowing through to Shopify, where it powers the live website. Precision at every stage - each field, specification and image - is fundamental to the quality of the online experience.
This is a hands-on, process-driven position in which focus, accuracy and consistency are paramount. It will suit a candidate who takes genuine pride in precision and in getting the detail right, first time, every time.
The Product Data Lifecycle
Your central responsibility is to own the end-to-end product data pipeline:
- Capture factory and purchasing data: Collate product specifications, dimensions, materials, packaging details, costs and supplier information from factories and the purchasing team.
- Record in NetSuite first: Create and maintain accurate product records in NetSuite as the single source of truth, validating every field before data moves downstream.
- Flow data through to Shopify: Ensure product information passes correctly from NetSuite into Shopify, with no loss, mismatch or inconsistency along the way.
- Build the listing in Shopify: Complete product descriptions, variants, pricing, imagery, collections and metafields so that each listing is fully merchandised and ready for publication.
- Quality-assure end to end: Review each product on the live site to confirm it displays and functions exactly as intended.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key Responsibilities
Product Data & Systems
- Create and maintain accurate product records in NetSuite, preserving its integrity as the source of truth that feeds Shopify.
- Manage the flow of product information from NetSuite into Shopify, identifying and resolving any discrepancies between the two systems.
- Maintain a consistent approach to SKUs, product naming, categorisation and attributes across both platforms.
- Conduct regular audits of existing listings to identify and correct errors, gaps and inconsistencies.
Shopify Metafields & Website
- Own the metafield structure. Develop a thorough understanding of how Shopify metafields are configured and how they power key elements of the website, including specifications, filters, badges and content blocks.
- Populate metafields accurately and completely so that product pages, collection pages and filtering display and function correctly.
- Collaborate closely with the web and development team to understand how front-end features depend on specific metafield data, ensuring that data is consistently supplied to specification.
Merchandising, Upselling & Content
- Apply product knowledge to upselling. Draw on a strong understanding of the range to add relevant related products and upsells - such as matching covers, cushions, accessories and care kits - that genuinely complement each product.
- Provide accurate care guidance. Ensure every product carries the correct care, maintenance and material information so that customers can confidently look after their purchase.
- Write and maintain clear, accurate and on-brand product descriptions and specifications.
- Organise products into the appropriate collections and ensure imagery is correct, complete and of a high standard.
Direct Dispatch & Drop-Ship Suppliers
- Onboard direct dispatch suppliers. Manage the onboarding of new drop-ship suppliers end to end, gathering product data, pricing and dispatch details, and establishing their range correctly within NetSuite and Shopify.
- Review competitor pricing. Regularly benchmark competitor pricing across all direct dispatch suppliers to ensure our products remain competitively positioned, highlighting opportunities and risks as they arise.
- Manage drop-ship purchase orders. Ensure all drop-ship purchase orders are raised, tracked and managed accurately so that orders are fulfilled without delay.
- Ensure full billing through NetSuite. Confirm that every drop-ship purchase order is fully and accurately billed through NetSuite, with no order left unbilled or incomplete.

The purpose of this role is clear: to carry product data from the factory through to the website accurately and completely. Everything a customer sees - the specifications, imagery, care guidance and recommended add-ons - depends on the work carried out behind the scenes. Performed to a high standard, it directly enhances the customer experience and supports commercial performance.
