Merchandiser

We are looking for a Merchandiser to lead trading, planning and stock management activities to drive sales, profit and availability across Harrods Collections departments. This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role

As a Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in maximising sales, profit and stock performance across all channels. Working closely with Buying, Merchandising and key stakeholders, you will use data, commercial insight and forward planning to build profitable assortments, identify opportunities and mitigate risks. You will lead in-season trading and forecasting activities, ensuring accurate reporting, effective inventory management and the delivery of key business KPIs, while also supporting and developing junior team members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading in-season trading, forecasting and performance analysis to maximise sales opportunities and minimise commercial risks.
  • Developing and maintaining assortment, range and pricing plans in partnership with Buying teams to deliver commercial objectives.
  • Managing stock flow, inventory levels and product lifecycle performance to ensure strong availability and efficient stock management.
  • Using customer, sales and market insights to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities for growth and competitive advantage.
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while providing guidance and support to junior merchandising team members.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
